How can we create the Africa we so desire
What would it take for us to dismantle these 54 imaginary borders
Where can we go to find the true Pan-African spirit
Our ancestors had fought for us to be one
Their sweat and blood that dropped to the earth still echo loudly
They wanted a future for us that was without exploitation
Poor governance
Environmental degradation
And conflict
And this is our time
We must be the ancestors future generations will acknowledge
We must strive to birth this borderless Africa by our words
Actions and deeds
We must move beyond this page into direct action
Celebrating our diversity and cultures
Promoting indigenous knowledge through our food
Music
Fashion
And art
Communing with the earth in reverence and awe
And embracing every African as our sibling
Few years from now
My great-grandchildren will be free to travel
To trade
And to Trust
Because we said Yes to a United Africa
And they will say, ‘This Is My Africa, A Borderless Africa
