Calls to Action

Tell us about debt in your country

Africans Rising is hosting the panel "Citizens Demand African Debt Cancellation" on 13 August during the Festival to Fight Inequality and we want to hear your voice. Visit our Memento link here to record or upload a short 30 - 60 second video telling us about the debt situation in your country and why you think African debt should be cancelled. Submit your recording by August 30.

Express yourself this #BlackAugust

Africans Rising invites artists, activists, and creatives to share with us songs, videos, writings and any thing you have created that gives voice to Black liberation efforts. We will broadcast these audio/visual artworks during a virtual concert to celebrate #BlackAugust this month. This call is open to all artists and activists wishing to participate voluntarily in this Pan-African program. For more information or to submit a piece of your work for possible broadcast, please write to mariehelene@africans-rising.org by August 20.

Nominate an African woman activist you know to be celebrated

Africans Rising will be hosting a celebration of African women activists through our Invisible Giants ceremony during the Kwame Nkrumah Festival (20-24 September). You can submit a nomination for a woman activist you know to be considered for recognition as an Invisible GIant

INDIVIDUAL GIVING

Africans Rising is a movement of African peoples and our allies, and we rely on your donations to keep supporting movements for justice, peace and dignity for Africans on the continent and in the diaspora. Our core duty is to foster solidarity among all Africans and we do that by hosting and co-creating events, key actions, and campaigns. This year we look forward to amplifying our efforts and impact, but we can only do that with your support.
